Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. (ZEC) corporate social responsibility spans to many local, regional and national causes.
The focus of our support has been on building housing for those in need (Habitat for Humanity – National Capital Region); medical research that fights the disease that never sleeps “Cancer” (The Ottawa Hospital Foundation); youth (YMCA-YWCA); and education (Constructing Our Future Campaign – Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence).
In addition we recognized that volunteering/sponsoring local charities, community associations, faith communities, sports organizations, or other community groups makes a difference in our very own backyard.
For over 30 years the staff of Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. have been and will remain true ambassadors in support of strengthening our communities!
National Capital Region | YMCA-YWCA
Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. has pledged support of the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA’s Strengthening the Heart of Our Community campaign for five (5) years (2010-2014).
In the past year, the National Capital Region YMCA-YWCA has provided services and programs to over 70,000 people from our community in 23 facilities across three municipalities.
This campaign will help expand and revitalize the Y’s facilities.
Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal
Ottawa, Ontario – Johannes Ziebarth of Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for his contributions with respect to Habitat for Humanity, where he has sat on the board as President since 2011 and has been involved with the organization’s initiatives since its inception in 1993. Johannes was awarded the honour at the National Leadership Conference Reception on Friday, November 16th in Toronto.
Prime Minister's Volunteer Award
Ottawa, Ontario – On Friday, December 14th, 2012, on Parliament Hill, Johannes Ziebarth, President and CEO of Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd., accepted the Prime Minister’s Volunteer Award for Business Leader in the Region of Ontario from Prime Minister Stephen Harper. This award recognizes ZEC for its continued and loyal contributions to Habitat for Humanity NCR, The Ottawa Hospital Group, Algonquin College, Shepherds of Good Hope and many other community organizations.

Ottawa-Ontario – The Consumer Choice Awards Ceremony took place at the National Gallery of Canada yesterday evening where 70 businesses were honored as being the best in their region! Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. was honored to be named the 2012 Consumer Choice Award Winners in the Award Category – Electrical Contractors. Through an independent market research survey, the consumers and businesses in Ottawa, Ontario have selected Ziebarth Electrical Contractors Ltd. as the top-ranked organization in their industry.
